Yes? Then no need to book an appointment with the doctor

If you have symptoms of one of these 19 conditions, simply walk into our on-site pharmacy for diagnosis and prescription.

If you have a DIFFERENT or more complex medical need then please book with your Family Clinician instead. See below

Do you want to book a "yearly physical" or "yearly blood test"?

At our clinic, we follow evidence-based guidelines from Choosing Wisely Canada, which recommend against routine "annual physical" exams or screening tests in healthy adults under 40 years old.

Research shows that these tests typically provide little to no benefit in low-risk individuals and may lead to unnecessary investigations, anxiety, or overtreatment.

See opposite for guidelines

So when should you book for screening tests?

Have a chat with us to help you decide what's right for you

Since we follow evidence-based medicine from national guidance, we provide personalized, need-based care.

Screening and testing are offered only when medically indicated, such as:

  • Cervical cancer screening every 5 years for eligible women
  • Annual blood tests for patients with known conditions like diabetes or high cholesterol
  • Specific tests based on risk factors or symptoms

If you have concerns or health questions, we encourage you to book a visit so we can determine what care is most appropriate for you. Please discuss any questions with us so we can determine the most appropriate care plan for you.

Choosing Wisely Canada – “Don’t do annual screening blood tests in the asymptomatic, low-risk patient.”
